A detailed and comprehensive description of an experimental system designed to carry out Attosecond Science is presented. Attosecond pulses (1as = 10-18) are the shortest controllable probes currently available in science. These systems can bring together a wide range of research areas such as x-ray optics, vacuum technology, and ultrafast pulse metrology. Experiments are described that show the range of capability of the current apparatus.
